Wayne Thiebaud Inspired Lollipops & Gumballs

One of the artworks my elementary students created while learning about Wayne Thiebaud were these lollipops and gumballs.  They were made using my homemade model magic recipe.  For the gumballs I had the students poke a hole straight through to help the drying process.  This also allowed the kids to turn them into gumball beads for bracelets, necklaces, bookmarks, etc.  Once the model magic had dried the kids painted them with acrylics giving their lollipops a swirled look.

This student decided to make a slice of cake instead of gumballs, which he later changed into a piece of cheese!
